Finding a Forever Home...

I know this really great 13 year old girl who happens to be best friends with my daughter Grace.  This 13 year old girl is not waiting until she is 21 or 22 to answer the question “what do you want to be when you grow up?”, she is living the answer at this very moment.

This 13 year old girl has spent the summer creating a 501c3 non-profit company called Lucky Tails Animal Rescue.  She has read countless books on animal rescue, attended a two week Veterinary School camp and created her own website.  She has learned how to assess the behavior of an animal and which traits are common in certain breeds.  She had developed relationships with Veterinarians and shelters.
This 13 year old girl took in her first foster dog, a disabled pit-bull appropriately named Lucky.

I have met this dog and can attest that there is something special about her.  Despite being in a kill-shelter for 4 months, she has not lost her love of life.  Immediately she tried to climb into my lap for a belly rub.  Her smile is contagious.  Here she is with my daughter Grace.

We have two dogs already or we would be tempted to bring this lovely lady into our home.  Could she be the right dog for you?  Are you Lucky’s forever home?  If you think you could be, please contact Claire at Lucky Tails.
Please help spread the word about this adoptable dog by Tweeting, Facebooking and emailing this post.  To inquire about adopting Lucky please visit:

Thank you!
