Rockland Breakwater

  1. Beautiful!

Don't you miss using your camera? I have been trying to use my camera and not my iphone this weekend. Our plan for the iphones are up in the fall and I am considering not renewing the service. I want to live more in the moment and use my camera more. I can still use the iPhone as an iPod but if I can't post immediately to IG it will force me to think about using my camera and writing about what we did instead of just posting everything on IG.

    1. Thank you! I have to be honest, I brought my camera, but most of my favorite pictures were taken with the iPhone. When it comes to outdoor photos the side by side comparison is equal. I prefer my camera indoors and I love it for taking portraits, but when I was going through all the pictures and taking into account the bulkiness of carrying a camera, the bag, the extra lens, and then looked at the pictures I realized that I am quite happy using my iPhone for day to day captures.

I do love Instagram. I love scrolling through my feed and seeing snapshots of my life. The funny thing is that my girls are not loving my editorializing our lives. They have asked me to keep my blog as more of a scrapbook and less of a journal. I respect that and now I will be taking even more pictures to show our lives as a pictorial essay. I have no idea what it means for the future of my blogging and if I will be sharing as much of my personal thoughts and opinions, but I will figure that out as we go.
