Marine Biology: A Day at the Beach

A day at the beach.....
We were supposed to spend the day in New York City visiting the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island until we learned that the tickets for the Statue were sold out through the month of May.  What is a group to do???  With binoculars, microscopes, buckets, pails, nets, snacks and sunscreen we headed out for some marine biology. 
It was a glorious day.  Here are my favorite pictures of the 100+  I took:













And who says a day at the beach isn't learning????

  3. We are blessed to be near the beach but we live in a pretty industrial area....just past this beach is a big plant that is very ugly. You take the good with the bad.
