Fishing Rube Goldberg Style

This is my daughter's video from her co-op class: Rube Goldberg Physics.  Her team spent 15 hours on this machine, which in Rube Goldberg style, makes a simple task very complicated.   The team met weekly for 12 weeks plus one meeting outside of coop.  They received no adult assistance other than weekly workshops led by their teacher on physics topics such as inclined planes, levers and pulleys.

Each team has their machine on youtube.  The team with the most views "wins".  In my eyes she has already won.  This experience has been amazing for her.  It has provided her the opportunity to work as a team towards a common goal.  To accomplish this they needed to compromise, communicate and cooperate.  They conceived this idea and made it a reality.

Stay with the video until the end.  They chose to film the glow in the dark marble run first, then they run it again with the lights on!

Enjoy!
