Beginnings

All winter I look forward to the feeling sand between my toes.  This thought sustains me as I pile wood in to the wood stove in November, when I am shoveling out from a blizzard in January and when I am watching the dirty snow melt in March.  By April I am sick and tired of wearing jeans with Ugg boots and turtleneck sweaters.  I long for skirts and flip flops and toe rings.

We are almost there.  Days like this let me know that one season is ending and another one is beginning.  I like beginnings......

I am with ya Jess on the sand in the toes...it's been a rough Winter here. Enjoy the day! Suppose to be in the 70's!

Today is Grace's internship day so most of my day is spent in the car....but at least I can put the windows down! Some fresh air sure will feel good. I am looking forward to these nice days here and there sticking around for longer than a day or two!

I love beginnings, too -- everything feels so fresh and new right now. Sixth grade has been a difficult year for us, and we are making some changes that make me happy to say goodbye to this year and start fresh.

I love your pictures, and your HEART.

We get Spring a bit earlier than you do. We have already had 80's. But our weather is back and forth this year more than usual. I so know what you mean, I crave sun and warmth so badly. We spend so much time outside when it is warm. I love all your pictures. You capture the feeling of Spring so wonderfully.

LOVE IT! We were outside as much as possible today (and heading out again to work with Sarah's 4-H alpaca)... I hope it sticks around here as well!

I am looking forward to reading about your changes. I think as the kids grow we have to change to meet their needs. I just sent an email looking for a math teacher for Grace so she can have regular scheduled lessons with someone who can teach her algebra through calculus better than I can! This will mean looking at our plan for next year and really picking things that tie into their learning plan. Who would have thought that homeschoolers DON'T have time to do it all?!

I LOVED sitting in the sun for an hour yesterday chatting with you! It has been too long.......
Today is another gorgeous day. I watered my garden and saw my first green sprout poking through!
This makes me so happy!

Don't You Just Stay Home All Day?

It’s funny because last night at youth group some of the kids friends were discussing homeschooling and really truly felt that we stay home...
