Cape Cod

Our annual jaunt to Cape Cod is bittersweet.  Sweet because we look forward to it all year long.  Bitter because it closes our summer.  We revel in our laziness.  We sleep in, eat well, laugh much and well....drink much!  We play hard and love hard and brush off the little annoyances that living with 13 people for a week can bring.  There are grains of sand in our sheets and sunburns on our shoulders and our brains take in all the memories of this week.  Memories to hold onto for one more year.  Memories to get us through the dark, cold, dreary days of January, February and March.

There is a stillness brought about by the ocean; the rhythm of the waves, a metronome to our heartbeat, our breath.  In this stillness there is great discovery.
